Explanation: As future teachers it is vital to continue to find new and engaging ways to teach our students. As most of these hardwares and softwares are pretty self-explanitory as to why they would be assets in the classroom, it is important to know the exact duty and use of each of these.
The hardware on our wishlist includes an i-pod nano and i-home speaker system, this will allow teachers to easily store and play lists of educational songs, or songs that relate to topics of discussion. Two Dell-Inspiron Desktop computers will allow a replacement to older, slower computers which most teachers and students are forced to work with. Along with new computers a printer is vital as well, this will allow teachers or students to print out work, ideas, and even lesson plans. The Cannon Digital Camera will come in handy on class fieldtrips, class activities, and class volunteer projects. This will allow us as teachers to illustrate to parents, administrators, and even the rest of the school the progress we make and the fun educational things we do! As for the rest of the hardware on our wishlist which includes SMART Board Package, National Geographic Map essentials, and Classroom Jeopardy, are all centered around a more fun technology geared teaching/learning method. These hardwares will be purchased for the benefit of the children and hopefully keeps them engaged and learning in new innovative ways!
The software on our wishlist includes Inspiration software which is helpful to children in connecting ideas in a technology based way and is helpful to teachers in that it helps us create lesson plans.
